DR. Gustavo A. Cadavid
Dr. Gustavo Cadavid is a seasoned Medical Doctor with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from the University of Caldas in Colombia and went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College in Staten Island, NY, from 2005 to 2008. He then pursued a fellowship at the same institution in Valhalla, NY, from 2008 to 2011.
Dr. Cadavid has been licensed to practice medicine in Florida since 2013 and is board-certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine in Oncology and Hematology. He was recognized as Physician of the Month at Palmetto Hospital in 2019. His expertise has been highlighted in various media, including a feature in Leukemia and Lymphoma in 2011, where he discussed Colonic perforation secondary to chronic lymphocytic leukemia infiltration without Richter transformation. Additionally, his research was published in Experimental Hematology and Oncology in 2012, focusing on Large granular lymphocytosis with severe neutropenia following ipilimumab therapy for metastatic melanoma.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Cadavid brings not only his linguistic and cultural competence but also a wealth of medical expertise to his practice.
He currently practices in Hialeah and is accepting new patients.
